The life and death of a pretty good place to work
Once, and only once, I worked for a company that didn’t suck. They tried to treat customers and employees fairly, and just generally did the right thing when they did anything. It was a life insurance company, in business for more than a century, that had never laid off an employee, and never been successfully sued. In most ways, it was the best job I ever had. And then, they modernized.
